Outline of Requirements
1. A Class 4, or self declaration, of medical
fitness & proof of age 16 is required.
2. Transport Canada requires 25 hours of flight training(1) including minimums of 15 hours of dual instruction and 5 hours solo practice.
3. While there is no formal ground school requirement, a 60% pass is needed on a Transport Canada, multiple-choice written examination. If desired, you can participate in a 40-hour private pilot ground school for $355.00, which normally is scheduled at the Club from 7:00 to 10:00 PM each Tuesday and Thursday evening for approximately 16 weeks several times throughout the year. Alternatively, and at your convenience, one-on-one instruction is available.
